Visitation of Ireland (all 6 volumes) - eBook on CD-ROM

Joseph Jackson Howard (1827-1902) and Frederick Arthur Crisp (1851-1922) were the authors of many acclaimed genealogical works. Their Visitation of Ireland was produced in 6 volumes which were privately printed by Crisp between 1897 and 1918 and limited to 250 copies of each volume.

The Visitation of Ireland contains over 150 detailed pedigrees of Irish families taken at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. It has over 170 illustrations, some of which are in colour. These include coats of arms, portraits, seals and silhouettes. Additionally, the signatures of hundreds of individuals who appear in the pedigrees are also depicted.

Our digital edition, released in .pdf format on CD-ROM, is based upon high resolution 600dpi images taken from original copies of the work, and totals over 1000 pages. The body of the text is searchable in Adobe Acrobat / Reader to a very high degree of accuracy, and all the forementioned illustrations are faithfully reproduced, in colour where appropriate.

In keeping with the spirit of the original edition, we are restricting production of this edition to 250 copies, each of which are individually numbered.
